INTRODUCTION
This branch of the Skirving's relates in particular to William Skirving, one of the Scottish Martyrs (ca 1745-1796).

I am particulary interested in trying to confirm links between Robert Skirving's family (Kirkcaldy, Fife) as described in the introduction, or to the the Athelstaneford/Haddinggton Skirvings, which includes Archibald Skirving (1749-11819) the Scottish portrait painter, his father Adam Skirving (1719-1803), author of 'Hey Johnnie Cope'.
