11. William3 Skirving (Martyr William2, William1 Skirving of Nether Liberton) was born October 23, 1779, was christened St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh, October 28, 1779, and died November 24, 1847 in Links, Kirkcaldy, at 68 years of age. His body was interred November 28, 1847 in Abbotshall (Ross ground).
He married Sophia Paton in Edinburgh, November 14, 1799. Sophia, the daughter of James Paton and Elizabeth Russell, was born in Markinch, Fife, January 13, 1771. She died July 17, 1855 in Linktown of Abbotshall, at 84 years of age. Her body was interred July 20, 1855 in Abbotshall (Gray's ground).
William's occupation: Handloom weaver in Fife.

in Abbotshall, Fife, October 29, 1800. Elizabeth's death date has not been
ascertained, but she was was known to be alive on July 17, 1855.

December 24, 1802. She was christened in Abbotshall, Fife, January 6,
1803, and died 1835 at 32 years of age.
15 iii. Agnes (Ann?) Skirving was born Abbotshall,
Fife October 22, 1804. Agnes was alive July 17, 1855.
16 iv. William Skirving was born in Abbotshall, Fife
November 10, 1806. William was alive July 17, 1855.
17 v. James Skirving was born in Abbotshall, Fife
December 17, 1808. James was alive July 17, 1855. James's Occupation:
Grocer, sacking maker ?.
