He married Elspet Grant in Cromdale, June 06, 1833. Elspet was born in Cromdale abt 1805. Elspet died June 4, 1878 in Nethybridge, Grampian, at 72 years of age. Her body was interred June 1878 in Nethybridge, Grampian. Elspet was alive 1833 in Dellifure Farm.

He was baptized Clachaig, po Abernethy, March 25, 1802. Religion: religion unknown.

James Robertson and Elspet Grant had the following children:

child 17 i. Rev John3 Robertson was born May 4, 1834. John died May 30, 1865 at 31 years of age. He was christened May 10, 1834.

child + 18 ii. Alexander Robertson was born November 7, 1835.

child 19 iii. Ann Robertson was born in Abernethy August 11, 1837. Ann was alive March 1851.

child 20 iv. Mary Ann Robertson was born in Abernethy June 20, 1839. Mary died March 28, 1846 in Nethybridge, at 6 years of age.

child + 22 vi. Elizabeth (Elspet) Robertson was born August 30, 1845.

child 23 vii. Peter Robertson was born in p.o. Abernethy March 6, 1850. Peter died July 4, 1867 in Nethybridge, Grampian, at 17 years of age. Peter was alive 1861 in Wester Lethendry.
