born abt 1855. 8. Jean3 Skirving (William2, Robert1) was born in Kirkcaldy November 18, 1827, and was baptized Kirkcaldy, December 11, 1827.
She married William Kirkwood Paterson in Glasgow, Lanark, August 16, 1853. William was born Glasgow, Barony August 12, 1829, the son of Andrew Paterson and Margaret Kirkwood.
Jean Skirving and William Kirkwood Paterson had the following children:

15 ii. Jane Skirving Paterson was born in Hillhead,
Partick June 16, 1861. Jane died April 28, 1951 in Edinburgh, at 89 years
of age. Jane's occupation: Wool shop assistant.
